He worked with NATO’s Joint Maritime Training Staff, supporting the Standing Naval Force Atlantic, and later worked as a reporter and producer for CBS2 News in Los Angeles. His experiences in the City of London and a 12-year stint in Hong Kong further enriched his perspective, infusing his novels with authentic geopolitical tension and vivid cultural detail. Now residing in Singapore with his wife and daughter, M.N. Smith channels his experiences into the high-stakes adventures of Heather Foxton.
